Alyssa Ruffin is an American Singer, Songwriter, and multi-award-winning Nashville Recording Artist, Singer, and Songwriter. She was born in Mason City, Iowa, known as the historical location where Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and Big Boppers plane crashed "The Day Music Died", and moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of five. She is a proud Mother, Military wife, and Musician working on music in Nashville, Los Angeles, and beyond. Alyssa opened for Country Music Group Sawyer Brown performing for 30,000+ patrons, Country Music Group Confederate Railroad performing for 10,000+, Billboard Chart-topping Rock band Hinder, J.R. Richards of Dishwalla, Legendary Hip-Hop Artist Coolio, and Award-winning Rock band Firehouse. She performed with former lead guitarist of Wilson Pickett, and Legendary Musician - David Panzer. In 2021 Alyssa performed in the Global Green "Music For The Planet" benefit concert via the iconic Troubadour in West Hollywood, California, along with Grammy Award-winner Lisa Loeb, Paula Cole, Taylor Dayne, Jody Watley, Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls, and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, performed alongside her mother for Legendary Buddy Holly's wife - Maria Holly, at the Buddy Holly Anniversary Memorial Event in Clear Lake, Iowa, and on the original Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee.
Alyssa won Best Female Pop Country Artist at the 2023 Mississippi Music Awards, and Best Blues Song ("Pretty Boy Blues") at the 2023 World Songwriting Awards. She is a 5x Nominee at the 2023 Josie Music Awards to include Artist of the Year, EP of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year ("Pretty Boy Blues"), and Song of the Year ("Love Triangle"). She is a 7x Nominee at the 2023 Fair Play Country Music - International Red Carpet Awards to include Country Voice of the Year ("Love Triangle"), Country Song of the Year ("Pretty Boy Blues"), Country Rock Original ("Enough"), Modern Country Original ("Pretty Boy Blues"), Country Pop Original ("Love Triangle"), Songwriter of the Year, and Most Appreciated Artist. She is a 2x Nominee at the Mississippi Music Awards to include Best Female Pop Country Artist, and Song of the Year (Love Triangle). Alyssa won the Songwriter Achievement Award for her upcoming single "Enough" at the 2022 Josie Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, and the "Country Voice of the Year" Award at the 2022 International Fair Play Country Music - Red Carpet Awards Show in Holland. She is a Top 10 Finalist for Best Modern Country Song at the World Songwriting Awards, and she is a semi-finalist in at the International Songwriters Competition. Alyssa is the 2021 JMA Vocalist of the Year Award winner in the Modern Country category, a 2021 Global Music Awards Honors Bronze Winner, and Top 10 Finalist in the 2021 Spring and 2021 Fall World Songwriting Awards. She is a 9x JMA Nominee and part of the 1.8% of the 52,442 submissions to receive a nomination for 2022, and was nominated in five categories. The 8th Annual Josie Music Awards were held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee on October 23rd. Additionally, Alyssa received nominations in four categories at the International Fair Play Country Music - Red Carpet Awards Show in Holland. She is an official Spokesmodel for Confidently Ready by Josie and Tinamarie, and a member of the Midwest Country Music Organization (MCMO).
Alyssa is working with Grammy Award Winning, and 5x Billboard award-winning Music Producer and Composer Kitt Wakeley on an upcoming single, and Platinum and Gold Award-winning producer Bill Douglass on an upcoming project. She is also working with Grammy Nominated Producer and Engineer "King Richard" Easterling, and award-winning Producer Scott Wilson (bassist for Platinum selling Rock band Saving Abel) on her upcoming singles "Enough" and "Where I Need You Now". Both tracks feature Kent Slucher (Luke Bryan) on drums, Scott Wilson (Saving Abel) on bass, Richard Easterling (Train, Muse, Fuel) on guitar, and Nashville pro-Steve Hinson (Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney) on steel guitar, banjo, and mandolin.
Furthermore, Alyssa performed the National Anthem on various occasions including the 2023 Alabama 200 Races at Montgomery Motor Speedway, the 2022 United States Air Force Weapons School 22 Bravo Graduation at Bally's Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the United States Space Force Space Delta - Activation and Assumption of Command Ceremony in Montgomery, Alabama, the Air Mobility Command Intelligence Headquarters at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois, "Rumble by the River" at Montgomery Motor Speedway, Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club in Santa Barbara California, Rocky Mountain Summer Music Festival, and Semi professional basketball team, the Minot Skyrockets. Alyssa and her husband Chuck are working on their own non-profit organization for Veterans. Alyssa is a Mission 22 Ambassador, advocating for Veteran Suicide prevention, awareness, and treatment programs for Military Veterans and their families. Alyssa is also an advocate for Suicide, PTSD, Mental Health, Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence, Education, Leadership, Creative Arts, Diversity, and Equality.
